Guelph Fest

GuelphFest is a community festival held by the city beside the River Run Centre on the August long weekend. The first GuelphFest was in celebration of the city's 175th anniversary in 2002, and since then it has become an annual event. The GHRA has participated in all the GuelphFests by having our caboose, and at least once the baggage car, moved to the River Run centre for public display and tours. We have also managed to arrange a pair of handcars down from Palmerston to provide rides, which are always a very popular attraction at GuelphFest.

The GHRA will be again participating in this year's GuelphFest, on Sunday August 1, 2004. Our caboose will be on display, and the Ontario Southland Railway may provide one of their locomotives for display as well. The handcars have also been secured for the weekend.

Following are some photos from previous GuelphFests.
